Belí Ponce Sousa e Faro

Beli is the owner and director of OMHouse Yoga since October 2018. She has dedicated the last 9 years to the practice and study of Yoga.

After graduating from UTSA in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy Beli merged her two passions and found Yoga to be her way of helping others and promote the importance of mental and physical health.

In 2014 she completed her first teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga. Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic form of Hatha yoga that asks you to unroll your mat a staggering six days a week and consists of a series of poses executed in swift succession, combined with deep, controlled breathing.

In 2015 Beli flew to Mysore, India to study under the guidance of Ashtanga Guru Sharath Jois at the KP. Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute for two months. She has also studied and completed her second teacher training with Tim Miller, one of the first westerners to be certified by the KPJAYI in the sixties.

Coming back from India, Beli’s passion for studying and teaching led her to the University of the Incarnate Word where she was offered the position of Graduate Assistant. She became part of the Wellness Staff teaching Yoga to Athletic teams, Undergrad Students, and Faculty and Staff while completing her Masters in Organizational Development. She was challenged to expand her “traditional” teaching to fit all types of bodies, all ages, and capacities.

In 2018, after completing her Masters she said goodbye to UIW to start a new chapter. Beli founded OMHouse Yoga with the dream of building a community where everyone feels welcomed and finds support to live a healthy lifestyle expanding consciousness, awareness, and mental health.

Caro Rios

Caro found yoga at age 18 and a practice that started with curiosity and excitement for trying a new “workout” soon became a new way of life.

After suddenly losing her father at a young age, Caro found herself on a soul searching journey. She sought to find a deeper connection with the universe. Caro realized she had finally found what she was looking for: a practice that allowed her to get to the present moment, to forgive the past, and to love herself. Strengthened by her practice she continued her yogic journey. After completing her first 200-Hour teacher training, Caro started teaching in her Texas-Mexico border hometowns: Laredo & Nuevo Laredo.

In 2019, she returned to Austin. Caro currently teaches and studies under Leah Cullis, the author of Power Yoga: Strength, Sweat, and Spirit, and Shelby Autrey, the owner of BFree Yoga Austin. These are the same teachers with whom she completed her second 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Caro’s classes skillfully blend meditation & mindfulness elements with asana practice. In Caro’s classes you will experience a juicy flow combined with intuitive breathwork that will allow you to get into your body and out of your mind. Her classes will challenge you to find new ways to deepen your yoga practice on and off the mat in order to further your journey towards awareness, mindfulness, and harmony.
