The Power of Balasana/Child’s Pose
Although, usually a resting posture, Balasana is a very powerful asana with physical and profound emotional benefits. 👁👇🏼
Physically, transferring the weight to our seat bones while extending our arms and fingers in front of us, Balasana/Child’s pose, stretches our ankles, hips, thighs, and elongates the spine and lower back.
Emotionally, dropping down to our knees with our forehead on the ground, automatically brings us to a state of humble surrender. Using our whole body, we are signaling our mind to bring attention inward and take us to a place of self observation and inner strength. The inward fold of our body in this position relaxes our nervous system and relieves our tensions or stress.
